This kit includes the 80mm f/2.8 CFE and Macro 120mm f/4 CFE lenses. The 40mm f/4 CFE lens is also available at an additional cost as a separate item. The 203FE here is also equipped with the E12 back that communicates ISO settings to the body. This kit comes with a total of two E12 backs for your convenience so you can have two films loaded at once and switch back and forth at will. Finally, a waist-level viewfinder is included in addition to the attached (and pictured) 45º prism finder. Because metering is built into the body, automatic modes are available with either finder.
The Hasselblad 203FE is the dream of all 6x6 aficionados. It is the most recently produced (and thus, the most advanced) of the Hasselblad V-type cameras. As a 200-series system, it behaves and looks much like the V-series, but features support for Hasselblad's CFE lenses that allow for shutter speed control from the body (that you set) and automatic aperture adjustment by setting the lens' aperture ring in the "F" position. With various exposure features and more cross-system communication than any other Hasselblad 6x6 camera, the 203FE is easily the most shootable 6x6 Hasselblad ever made.
While the 6x6 and 35mm formats feature different height to width ratios, a commonly accepted crop factor from 6x6 to "35mm equivalent" is the reverse crop factor of 1.6. Therefore, the 40mm, 80mm, and 120mm lenses show angles of view similar to 25mm, 50mm, and 75mm lenses, respectively. Keep in mind that depth of field becomes more shallow when shooting at the same aperture, but with a larger format film.
While 220 backs are available for this kit, this system requires 120 film.
This is an advanced camera. As such, it is recommended that you have experience with Hasselblad 6x6 film cameras before renting this particular system.
